In a Facebook post which exposes the darker side of the annual street party “supposed to be about community and good vibes”…
Ahahahahahaha! Is it really? Pull the other one!
… Mary Brandon said she spent nine hours at hospital receiving treatment following the alleged assault.
Ms Brandon encouraged others to raise awareness of her image and “get the word out that this isn’t OK”. Since being uploaded yesterday it has been shared more than 5,000 times.
Raising some awareness of the perpetrator’s image might have done more good. Do tell, Mary..?
Describing the incident at the celebrations on Monday, Ms Brandon said: “A man in the crowd grabbed my arse. (Ed: How uncouth…) When I told him not to he did it again.
“I pushed him away, exercising my right to tell a man to stop touching my body without my permission, so he took a swing at me and punched me in the face.”
Oh dear, turns out that all that feminist claptrap only works in the pages of the ‘Guardian’ & ‘Indy’ and not in real life.
In real life, when a predator targets you, shouting about ‘your rights’ doesn’t help much, not does it function as a magical spell forcing the predator to cease and desist.
In real life, if you can’t back up your rights with force, better to not wander into the predator’s lair in the first place.
