What happens next Monday, you ask? Well, Jade Dunne will answer bail:
Jade Dunne, 29, of Halstead, was originally questioned by police following an incident which saw her American pitbull fatally attack young Dexter Neal.
The youngster had been visiting Ms Dunne’s house for a play date at the time of the attack on August 19.
Ms Dunne was arrested for allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control injuring a person, and bailed until Wednesday (October 18).
Officers will now carry out further enquiries until December 19, when she will have to answer bail again.
And if Jade Dunne’s lawyers are even half-way competent, they’ll have been watching the case of Archie Joe Darby very carefully.
And be prepared to point out that if a serving Essex police officer isn’t liable for the unforeseeable actions of her ‘Staffie type dog’ with regards to a visitor to her property, then nor should their client be liable, either.
