And you can’t always get what you want!

I wrote on this very subject a couple of years ago, the Law has not changed, Parliament reinforced the negative, but still they try, and still they fail.

Noel Conway decided that he was such a special case, that he deserved the Law to be overturned, and he should be allowed to die, in his words that he had previously said he wanted to say goodbye to loved ones “at the right time, not to be in a zombie-like condition suffering both physically and psychologically”.

He argued that when he had less than six months to live and retained the mental capacity to make the decision, he wished to be able to enlist assistance from the medical profession to bring about a “peaceful and dignified” death.

Noel, mate; all you have to do is buy the ticket to Dignitas, when your time is running out, and they will ‘do the dirty’ for you: all you have to do is deprive yourself of the oxygen which is keeping you alive; all you have to do is stop eating and drinking: and your end will come pretty quickly.
But you wanted death on your terms, and friend; because Parliament has not yet signified it wants Euthanasia in by the back door; because if someone helps you in any way whatsoever, they face fourteen years in the slammer; you just will not get what you want!

Asphyxiation and death by starvation are long, painful deaths. What you die of, of course, is dehydration. That can take 3 truly painful, mind altering days.

We force humans to endure pain and suffering until they die naturally or by unpleasant, painful, traumatic suicide – Euthanasia is a crime.

We jail humans for cruelty for allowing their animals to endure pain and suffering until they die naturally – Euthanasia is an obligation.

Allow humans to choose to die when they want in their home/local clinic – not allowing is cruelty.

Then the law is an Ass, Parliament is a corrupt and warped institution, OK for Blair to lie his arse off to it and help destroy the Middle East killing untold thousands, try Noel Conway’s shoes on, a harmless innocent man pleads for relief from intolerable suffering, certainly not, mercy would be a crime.

Personally if I was topping myself then something quick is much preferred. If it isn’t legal then I would go the illegal route, death by cop, driving along outside parliament in a truck. The list is endless.
