Cue Twilight Zone music.
I am ramping up my prayers for President Donald Trump.
He is due to release the papers on John F Kennedy’s assassination on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
On Wednesday, October 25, he is scheduled to be in Dallas for a GOP fundraising dinner.
During Bush I’s administration, President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 became law, stating that the assassination papers could be released 25 years later to the day on October 26, 2017. Trump is at liberty to release the papers unless there is a reason that would impinge on national security or cause serious ‘identifiable harm’ which would outweigh public interest in the disclosure.
On that note, Bushes I and II were at the Deep From The Heart hurricane relief concert held on Saturday, October 21. Trump sent in a pre-recorded video message. It is very creepy seeing the Bushes, Obama, Clinton and Carter on stage together. All spoke except for Bush I who looks as if hasn’t much longer on this mortal coil. This was all for a good cause, but I saw one shot of the video and had to look away. What knowledge will they take to the grave?
Back to JFK. Left-wing media have been reporting that Trump will not release the information. However, yesterday, he tweeted:
Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened.
While Americans await closure, Roger Stone tweeted:
Who is unhappy about the release of the Classified JFK files ! The Bush Crime Family , Ted Cruz’s creepy father and LBJ greedy daughters !
The release of the photo of Ted Cruz’s father put Cruz into instant meltdown and he bowed out of the Republican primary in May 2016. Kasich soon followed. Only Trump was left.
In response to Stone, someone posted the photo of Cruz’s pater familias standing with Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans in August 1963. The text accompanying the photo is interesting.
I wrote about the impact of this photo on Cruz last year. I also explained that while the National Enquirer published the photo, investigative journalist Wayne Madsen posted the photo and full story in early April that year. I knew about Madsen’s report weeks before the Enquirer published their article, which Trump saw.
The release of JFK’s assassination papers is coming at a damning time for the main players in the Democratic Party.
It was interesting to see that Matt Frei’s Channel 4 documentary on Trump’s supposed collusion with the Russians was broadcast the day after more details emerged about the involvement of the Clintons, Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, James Comey, the Podestas — and more — in Uranium One.
Unfortunately, Uranium One news was omitted not only by much of Big Media in the US, but also in the UK. We had lunch with friends of ours late last week who knew nothing at all about the pay-to-play scandal which saw the sale of 20% of America’s uranium supply to Russia during Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State.
To most people reading this post, Uranium One is old news. Some of us found out about it last year via the Podesta WikiLeaks. The link points to a 2015 email in that dump which says ‘It’s out there’. A year ago, I wrote about the deal referencing a New York Times article from 2015.
On October 19 — after the news broke — Peter Schweizer, author of Clinton Cash, appeared on Fox News to discuss an article in The Hill, which states that an informant has been prevented from discussing the case:
The informant possesses information about the extent of Russian efforts to curry favor inside the United States that he has been prevented from disclosing to the courts and Congress because he signed an FBI nondisclosure agreement, his lawyer Victoria Toensing told The Hill on Tuesday.
The undercover witness was threatened by Justice Department officials when he tried to disclose some of the information in a lawsuit during last year’s presidential race, forcing him to withdraw his legal action, the lawyer alleged.
A Fox News article recaps the interview between Schweizer and presenter Brian Kilmeade:
Brian Kilmeade said it’s time for the Trump Justice Department to lift that gag order, so Congress and the American people can discover what he knows.
“There is absolutely no reason, I think, any justification, for this guy to be under a gag order anymore,” Schweizer said. “Let him testify before Congress, let him go to the media and tell his story. And then people can decide what they think about what he has to say.”
He noted that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced this week that he is launching a probe into the controversial deal.
“He wants to get to the bottom of how this actually happened,” Schweizer said.
I have no faith in Grassley or any other Republicans on these committees: all mouth and trousers.
This brings us to Jeff Sessions. Could he unrecuse himself? A few weeks ago, Judge Jeanine Pirro from Fox News said he could, because of the dishonest conduct on some of the major players post-recusal.
He can unrecuse himself. I think he was cornered into recusing himself initially, I think he inappropriately recused himself and he should fix the situation and start running the Justice Department and taking control of these investigations as appropriate.
Three days later, Rush Limbaugh summarised an article on the subject by Andrew McCarthy for National Review. Rush explained the various options, including this one:
Trump could call Sessions: Unrecuse yourself, Dude!
I think Trump is waiting for Uranium One to grow legs. Sessions, meanwhile, is a fool.
