“Waah! Waah! It Shouldn’t Apply To People I Like!”

…this desperate desire to “out” Sugg as a sellout or a bigot betrays a deeper problem in our attitude towards young successful women, particularly those we may not consider “worthy”, because their career isn’t one we can frame in traditional pre-internet terms.

The fact that Sugg is a young woman, and hugely successful in an industry which most people over the age of 30 neither understand nor respect, cannot be ignored when looking at the vitriol behind all of these attempts to shame her into silence.

The fact that she is ‘a young woman’ is utterly irrelevant. She can’t walk the walk, she shouldn’t expect to talk the talk, should she?

Let’s not forget that it was Boots that priced the calendar, and as far as I can gather not one of its four white, middle-aged, male CEOs appears to be dealing with an onslaught of abuse from social media.

*rolls eyes* Yeah, sure. Somehow, it’s always ‘old white men’ who are to blame when some airhead lets her mouth get her into trouble…

On the one hand, Sugg is shouted down for actually making a profit on her business, called cynical and fake for daring to act like every other entrepreneur in history; on the other hand, she’s expected to be savvy enough to sanitise her entire social media.

Sweetie, ‘social media’ is supposed to be her USP! It’s not like she has any other discernible talent, is it?

If it now transpires she can’t even do that well enough…

I am distraught, I don’t know what to say – maybe I better light a candle and lay some flowers………………innocent as the days are now short.

    And talking of opinionated snowflakes…………..

I am disappointed in the DM, today are, reporting on some clearly quite loopy and leftwing dingbat, and her inate cultural Marxist imbibed and no mistake, ridiculous soshal prejudices, apparently is a lass who’s going to marry a frog or something and dammit – they pulled my comment, alack my day ruined.

    I only said:

My trouser chewing ghosts. Dear life, have these people *nothing* else to do?

For goodness sake! Buy it don’t buy it. It’s great to have the choice. Ohhh, she’s selling out to ‘da man’ well you flipping prat, so are you by visiting wretched youtube in the first fricken place.

Monkeys on a surfboard. What cretins. What fools! Why can’t they whine about their council tax? Student loans? Massive, obscene, offensively high state debt? Is it because it’s too compwecatwed for the liddle pudduns? Well they’ve a massive shock coming when real life hits them in the face with a tax and waste Left wing lump hammer.
