Let’s Stop Using The Saying ‘Crime Doesn’t Pay’…

Linda Brown, of Cuddesdon Way, Blackbird Leys, was spared jail for the 12-year scam at Oxford Crown Court in August.

The court heard that the 60-year old had fraudulently claimed £109,186.34 in income support, employment and support allowance, council tax benefit and housing benefit.

She had pocketed the cash between September 1 2004 and April 4 2016 telling Oxford City Council and the department for work and pensions that she was the sole occupier of her home.

Brown was rumbled, however, when it emerged her parter (sic) who was earning more than £20,000 had been living with her for more than a decade.

I wonder just how it ’emerged’?

At the same court on Thursday prosecutors told a proceeds of crime hearing that the Crown Prosecution Service would not be going ahead with any claim to recover the ill gotten gains.

They argued that ‘her lack of assets’ meant it would not be possible to recover the haul of money that she had stolen.

So she can’t break rocks? Pick litter, if that’s the modern equivalent? She’s just allowed to walk free?

In mitigation Ronan McCann said at the time that his client had been under ‘immense’ financial pressure and had been acting as a carer for her parents.

Just like thousands of people who don’t cheat the system. So what?

He told the court that her mindset had been one of ‘utter chaos’ and added: “Your honour is well aware of individuals who will enjoy the finer things in life because of dishonest claims. This is not an individual known to have indulged in any of these luxuries.”

Wait, if she’d spent the cash on champagne & lobster, the court would be a bit less lenient? But since she merely spent it on Lambrusco and fish fingers, go thou, and sin no more?

You know, really, unconscionable though it is, I am at a loss to explain it but there’s a part of me which says jolly good luck to her and I know that is so wrong headed but there you go.

In other news Britain’s happy diversity mass, particularly southern Asian en bloc are, is busily screwing and bleeding the taxpayer white – do ya get the irony. And have you ever seen a similar case where an Asian is brought up before the beak for screwing the taxpayer in similar MO?

Linda Brown, no I don’t hate her.

Crapita, Carillion – any PFI contrator…………… The Brussels leeches, magic circle, the big4 auditors, banksters, the green blob (think dale Vince and Lord Sheffield) have been royally screwing the UK taxpayer and all ‘above board’ for decades – taking us for £Billions. And then, there are the ‘politicians’ but that’s for another day.

I’ll hate her for you. This argument is no different to those saying shoplifting is a minor offence because the goods are there on display.

      It’s theft, pure and simple.

What are we, if we lack honour and self-respect?

I now intend to rob a bank and blow all the cash before I’m caught, if that’s how it works now

Ride the wave, get a job with a quango, in the beeb or the ‘third sector’ get a job in the corporate sector administering public sector contracts – ‘rob the taxpayer bank’ and get a gong, join the peculators in the HoL in the meantime – legally.

all you need to know is how to, talk the talk and walk the walk – all else isn’t required, oh and membership of the nouveau gauche – ‘Common Purpose’ – tea ladies of the public sector UNITE – ask red Len.

I sat in traffic for 45 minutes to travel a grand total of 9 miles – because our roads are overcrowded junk. She’s sat about and just stolen the money I sit in that traffic to earn.

The state might not want to bother pressing charges, but I want her whipped, flayed, beated and broken, then I want her digging ditches and filling them in again.

Then I want those who kept giving her money sacked for not doing their jobs.

I’m with you. Take it out of her sweat, it’ll be the first honest work she’s ever done.
