Some people may have noticed that Pat Condell has been absent for months from Youtube and there’s a reason, as this young chap says at the beginning:
OoL carries a torch for free speech, by definition, but it also knows there are trolls who fling untruths and whose aim is to divide and confuse. So at some point, these need to be identified and if Mike, Julia and I are unanimous, we act. Can’t remember last time it happened – 3, 4 years ago?
Moving on, another prime directive of OoL is to be able to put material which crosses no line of defamation or porn but which has been politically censored – Pat’s clip above is one, Tommy’s below is another and which you’d be lucky to even find at Breitbart, the last remaining mass circulation outlet.
One of the things any side has to guard against is censoring genuine criticism and/or argument, especially from within its own ranks – because you then get splits over minor, even personal issues – not unlike the Judaean People’s Front splitting from the People’s Front of Judaea and bollox like that.
Back in 2010, we had a group called Albion Alliance, whose prime directives were fighting for Direct Democracy and for national self-determination but within that were embedded two other issues:
2. English identity …
… and there were people for, say, Brexit who didn’t care a toss for England and who did not see the huge danger of unfettered immigration of the worst type. Carswell was a perfect example.
So you see where splits can be. And within the fight for England itself as an entity, there was a lot of male ego on display, with one person trying to lead people behind him and another trying to lead it behind him. Many readers were shaking their heads, wondering as the two beat each other near to death until one withdrew from the field.
And the cause? Successfully thwarted, wasn’t it? We used to have a thing called the Witanagemot Club, which is no more, there was the EDL and Tommy was the one to blow the whistle on that – there are trolls everywhere trying to bring down a cause. So I’m very wary about flingers of false epithets because I’ve seen this divide and break up before.
To repeat, OoL is about free speech – that’s its prime directive – but it also attracts many on the Brexit, anti-invasion, English, conservative, even Christian heritage side and all are welcome, as long as they realize that different people have different angles within the overall cause.
