Though the majority of our readers are British/English, there’s a sizeable contingent from the U.S. as well.
Yes I know we also have Canadians, Australians, South Africans, New Zealanders and those from the European nations but the two main ones are Britain and the U.S.
And I’ve not lost sight of this day – that it was about Independence from us at that time – but that’s the whole point – that we are an association of allies, a Confederation at its most formal during wartime.
The whole thing which was wrong with the soon to implode EU was that it was a marxist Federation within a World Government push, with an unelected politburo at the top, while all our best achievements, our several nations during the C20th, have been as a loose confederation of allies.
I’ve not the slightest issue with MAGA, nor with the Italian, Hungarian, Polish and other movements and many of us are the same in this – it is perfectly possible to wish you well with your country and we’d expect you’d wish us well too, as a society of friends. In fact, this populist “make great again” movement is more than useful in countering this insidious global marxism under the guise of altruism and the end to all wars.
So yes – that banner is up for today.
